Scrapbook challenge- Fall Butterflies

I've participated in a scrapbook challenge with a postcard and I felt like sharing it with you.
It's my first card from this type, so I am kind of proud it turned out well enough to be shared. :-)
The challenge theme was Fall Butterflies and I just came up with the idea my butterflies to "fly up" the pages when the card is opened.
I don't have special tools or anything, I used just a regular pair of scissors, 3 sheets of colored paper, a cardboard for the card base, a little glitter, regular glue and a piece of baking parchment paper.
I am kind of laking the whole card-hat-gift bag making, I'll have to put some more effort in it I think :-) I really don't have the time( and money) to make a cake every day and all this creative energy that's been bugging me has to be exploited some how ( in a constructive kind of way off course LoL).
So basically this is the front of the unopened card:
This is opened parchment paper layer:
And here the "flying" butterflies , ta-da:
I hope you like it :-) You can check the bags and card I made recently in my Arts&Crafts album set in Flickr.

So how did I do Annie? I spent like almost 6 hours on the fondant stuff, made almost 200 squares, 12 dancers. Laurie made the disco ball. I was pretty happy with myself! still no where near your quality but I'm working on it! have a great thanksgiving.

by the way, how old is your little girl? just curious, I make hairbows too and I'd love to send you some!

Hi Beth!I've left you a comment on your blog as soon as you wrote me, but you probably didn;t see it :-) I think you did a pretty good job! I can't imagine how you did make 200 squares, honestly! It must have been a nightmare!
The ball is sooo creative!! how did you make it exactly?

Thank you for the offer for the hairbows, but unfortunately we are not there yet. My daughter is 2, but she doesn't like anything on her hair.:-( I can't even make her stay with a ponytail or anything. It's just her thing...Maybe when she is a little bit older :-)
Why don't you post pictures on your blog with the hairbows? It's not set in stone it has to be about cakes only, I would be interested to read more about you and what else you do and are interested in:-)

I'm working on posting about my other interests. I'm having trouble formatting and my brother is helping me. So check back in a day or so! Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a great time with your family!!
